The Leviathan impact on Tallon IV. Two Chozo are looking at it from the Sunchamber (the area where Samus beats Flaahgra). I drew this before august 2007, so I didn't really know what a Leviathan would look like. Now I know that it doesn't really look like the meteor in the picture.
Meteor Strike: Unforeseen by sages, a meteor came as if from nowhere, casting a dark shadow of debris over the land with the violence of the impact. Its destructive force spent, the fallen star burned itself out rapidly, and the incident should have faded into memory... But the meteor brought with it corruption. A Great Poison burst forth into the land, a strange energy that clawed at natural life with a ferocity that seemed almost sentient. Bound by our ignorance of this phenomenon, we Chozo could only watch in horror as this dark force slowly began to spread across the surface of Tallon IV... Comments
 Great original pic here, i love it...yeah so the impact crater from MP1 are the same the leviathans you destroy in MP3...that would explian the huge creatures in them...they are like Metroid Prime...anyways great job, i do like the meteor; everything looks so ace!
-- "When you do things right, people won't be sure if you have done anything at all" Yeah, as you know, each Leviathan has a guardian (The Mogenar, Helios and Omega Ridley), a native creature from the planet, which the Leviathan then corrupts with Phazon. In Metroid Prime 1, that native creature was a Metroid. That Metroid began to evolve and eventually became Metroid Prime. So Metroid Prime is actually the creature, chosen by the Leviathan as it's guardian.
